The type of pin you should purchase depends upon your needs, your proposed artwork and how your pin will be used.

EPOLA CLOISONNE
Epola pins are the top of the line pins.
They have a jewelry-like quality and are color filled with colored glass for the smoothest texture and shine.
SOFT ENAMEL
Soft enamel are the most popular type of pin. The metal is slightly elevated so you can feel the "grooves" on the pin and the color is filled with a glossy paint. They can be covered in an epoxy coating if a smooth finish is preferred.
SILK SCREENED
Silk screened pins are used when there are very fine details in the artwork as long as the lines are solid. If there are shaded or gray areas, offset printed pins are used.
OFFSET PRINTED
Offset printed pins are the only pins to use when the artwork used for a pin includes variations of color, gray or shaded areas. Keep in mind that we can make changes
to some artwork to work with any type
of pin if changes are allowable for your needs.

Photo etched pins are cheap. They look cheap, they feel cheap and we do not reccomend them for any use other than a massive giveaway where budget is key
or when quality is not necessary.

Not needed on Epola pins. It is a matter of preference on soft enamel pins and must be added to silk screened or offset printed pins.
Glitter Colors - (add .20 per color, per pin)
Translucent Colors - (add .06 per color, per pin). These add a look similar to stained glass.
Simulated Gems - (add .26 per gem, per pin)
Blinkies - (add .90 for one light, 1.15 for two lights per pin). Choice of red or green. Other colors available. Please ask for a quote.
Magnetic Backs - 2 magnets instead of post/clutch (add .33 per pin). Save your clothes from pin holes.
Clear Acrylic Cases with pins installed - (add .35 per pin)
Velvet Cases with pins installed - (add 2.35 per pin)
Refrigerator Magnets - instead of post and clutch, choose a magnet on any number of pins in your order. (add .33 each - no minimum on an existing order).
Key Chains - add a key chain to your pin. Instead of post and clutch, a metal loop will be added to your design with a key chain attachment (key chains are priced according to attachment chosen).
